Jose Hugo Saavedra-Castillo, 28 of Emporia, Kansas died Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at his home.
Jose was born November 6, 1990 in Michoacán, Mexico the son of Jose Saavedra and Elodia Castillo. He was a cook at IHOP in Emporia. Jose loved his pet pit bull and was always happy.
Jose is survived by his parents of Emporia, Grandparents Vicente Saavedra and Maria Lemus of Matugueo, Michoacán, Mexico and Epigmenio Castillo and Antonia Tovar of Columbus, Nebraska, brother Artemio Saavedra of Mineral Point, Wisconsin, sisters Maria Figueroa of Wichita, Kansas, Lorena Pedraza of Nampa, Idaho, Deney Saavedra of Wichita, and Anna Saavedra of Nampa, Idaho.
The Rosary will be recited Friday, March 8, 2019 at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home. There will be a viewing on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the Funeral Home in Emporia. Burial will be in Michoacán, Mexico.
