Joy Faye Morgan of Emporia died on Friday, August 25, 2023, at her home. She was 77.
Joy was born on July 16, 1946, in Emporia, Kansas, the daughter of Charles Edward, Sr. and Mabel Leona Davis Hensley. She married Amos Owens. He died. She later married Phillip Ullrich until he passed. She married her last love John Morgan on January 21, 1993, at Grace United Methodist Church. He survives at home.
Surviving family members include her husband John Morgan of Emporia; her two stepchildren; brother, Charles Edward Hensley, Jr. of Kansas City, Missouri; sisters Sarah Louis Morris of Sidney, Ohio, and Katrinka Carpenter of Salina, Kansas.
She is preceded in death by her two husbands, parents, and brother Mathew Vernon Hensley.
Joy was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Emporia.
Cremation is planned with a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 7, 2023, at the First United Methodist Church in Emporia with a private burial at Maplewood Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Emporia.
