Juan De Dios Landeros

Juan De Dios Landeros of Emporia, died on Monday, March 25, 2024, at Newman Regional Health, Emporia.  He was 70. Juan was born on March 8, 1954, in Pharr, Texas, the son of Marcelino and Maria Ventura Cortez Landeros.  He married Teresa De La Cruz in 1969 in Edinburg, Texas. Surviving family members include his wife Teresa of the home; sons, Juan A. Landeros of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Jamie Landeros of Emporia; daughters, Elizabeth Bedolla of Arkansas City, Juana L. Ruiz of Dorchester, Nebraska, Esmeralda Magana of Emporia, and Esenia Zuniga of Emporia; grandchildren; Erica Ortiz, Jose Bedolla, Gregorio Bedolla, Anairi Bedolla, Leobardo Santana, Gilberto Ruiz, Melva Vazquez, Eliseo Ruiz, Maru Ruiz, Juan Landeros, Marcelino Landeros, Abigail Landeros, Emilio Landeros Anabelle Landeros, Ashley Landeros, Araceli Baza, Brandon Magana, Sarahi Magana, Fernando Zuniga, Nayeli Zuniga; followed by 37 great-grandchildren; brother Jesus Manuel Landeros of Emporia; sisters Enedelia Perez of Lubbock, Texas, and Maria Torrez of Mexico. He is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Monico Ortiz. Juan worked at IBP and Tyson for 38 years before retiring for health reasons.  He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. The Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia with the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with burial following at the Memorial Lawn Maplewood Cemetery in Emporia.
