Juan Vicente Rivas Figueroa, 45, Emporia, Kansas, passed away at the Emergency Department of Newman Regional Health, Emporia,

Juan was born September 17, 1980 at Metapan, El Salvador, the son of Vicente and Fidelina Figueroa Rivas . He is survived by his companion of over 20 years, Yuliana Ivonne Franco, his parents, son; Kevin Alessandro Rivas, step-sons; Giovanni Garcia, Miguel Alberto Garcia, and Julian Daniel Garcia, step-daughters; Zuleima Yeilin Duran and Sujeily Yeilin Duran, brothers; Jose A. Rivas, Cesar A. Rivas, and Pedro Rivas, sister; Margarita Rivas, and grandson; Lucian Santino Carrillo.

He was a soldador and carpenter.

Cremation is planned. A Memorial Service will be held at the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia, on Friday, May 15, 2026 at 10:30 A.M. Private burial will be later in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Emporia.
