Juanita J. Evans

Juanita J. Evans, 84,of Cottonwood Falls, Kansas, died Sunday, March 30, 2014 at the Golden Living Center in Cottonwood Falls.

Juanita J. Watchous, the daughter of Clarence and Jenny Harlan Watchous, was born December 20, 1929 in Emporia, Kansas. She was a high school graduate, and was a homemaker. She married John Odle on May 24, 1947 in Cottonwood Falls. He preceded her in death. She later married Steve Evans on July 6, 1981 in Council Grove, Kansas. He also preceded her in death.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Miller of Monett, Missouri, and Roxane Odle of Kansas; a sister, Opal Dacus of Emporia; four grandchildren, Travis Wyss of El Dorado, Heather Hood, Samantha Russell and Tabitha Vallee all of Monett, Missouri; and five great-grandchildren, Derek, Kelsey and Brenna Hood, Chase and Sakura Vallee all of Monett, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents and both husbands.

The graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, April 3, 2014 in Prairie Grove Cemetery, west of Cottonwood Falls. Rev. Pat Ireland of the First Presbyterian Church of Cottonwood Falls will officiate.
