Judith A. Glenn, 77, of Emporia, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at her home.
Judith was born on February 20, 1937 in Emporia, the daughter of L.H. and Carrie M. Clark Needels. She married C. Leonard Glenn on March 26, 1954 in Cottonwood Falls, Kansas. He died on October 28, 2013.
Surviving family members include: her daughter, Debbie L. Rice, Emporia; brother; Leonard (Wayne) Needels of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts; sister, Norma J. McCloud of Shawnee, Kansas; grandchildren, Patty Ortega, Julie Soukup, Charles Terry Alvarado, Nicole Rice, and Savannah Alvarado, all of Emporia, and Aaron Glenn, Hutchinson, Kansas; and twelve great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; her daughter, Karoli Alvarado; son, David Glenn; and a brother, Richard L. Needels.
Judith was a homemaker, and a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She also belonged to United Methodist Women’s Phoebe Group and United Transportation Union Auxiliary.
The funeral service will be held at Grace United Methodist Church on Friday, March 28, 2014 at 1:30 PM. Burial will follow in Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Emporia. The family will receive friends at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia, Thursday evening from 7:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
A memorial has been established with Hand In Hand Hospice or Grace United Methodist Church, with contributions sent in care of the funeral home.
