Judith Ann "Judy" Price

Judith Ann “Judy” Price, 85, Emporia, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Holiday Resort Care Center, Emporia.

Judy Horrell was born in Ottawa, Kansas on September 18, 1938, the daughter of Maurice J. and Vivian (Tyler) Horrell.  She married Jack Davidson Price on June 5, 1956 in Cottonwood Falls, Kansas. He died April 25, 2000.   She is survived by her sister; Marianne Dixon, Emporia, niece; Angela Wilson, Kearney, Missouri, nephews; Don Forrester, Portland, Oregon, Steve Horrell, Severna Park, Maryland, Chris Horrell, and David Horrell both of Gainesville, Florida.  She was preceded in death by her husband, brothers; Mike, Greg, and Gene Horrell, her parents, and nephew; Kim, great-nephews; Harry, and Jared Price, and brothers-in-law; Harry and Terry Price and sister-in-law; Jo Price.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Judy and her husband, Jack, owned and operated Three Kings Steakery in Emporia for 22 years. She worked for 40 years for The Emporia Gazette.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Emporia, on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. Interment will be in the Memorial Lawn Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home on Friday at 7:00 P.M. The family will receive friends following the rosary.
