Julia E. Mason, 51, of Emporia, Kansas, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Newman Regional Health, Emporia.
Julia Elaine Beardsley, the daughter of Charles and Joyce Watts Beardsley, was born July 23, 1960 in El Paso, Texas. She married Randall L. “Randy” Mason on August 31, 1985 at the Sardis Congregational Church in rural Emporia. He survives of the home.
Other surviving members of the family include: a son, Shawn Allen Mason, and a daughter, Le Ann Renee Mason, both of the home; a stepdaughter, Shannon Chalaire of New Orleans, Louisiana; her parents, Charles, Sr. and Joyce Beardsley of Emporia; three brothers, Charles Beardsley, Jr. of Brunswick, Maryland, Curtis Beardsley of Osage City, Kansas, and Arthur Beardsley of Emporia; two grandsons, Hunter Pena of New Orleans, Louisiana and Tyler Chalaire of Pensacola, Florida.
Julia was preceded in death by one daughter, Tasha Elaine Mason, who died in 1986.
She was a medical records clerk at Newman Regional Health and was a member of the Sardis Congregational Church.
Her funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home. Pastor Gary Gooszen of the Sardis Congregational Church will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery south of Emporia. The family will meet with friends Tuesday, July 26, 2011 from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home.
