Julieta Elizabeth Keosybounheuang of Emporia passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. She was 49.
Julieta was born on February 24, 1974, in Saltillo, Mexico, the daughter of Ernesto Escalante Hernandez and Ana Maria Cornejo De Escalante. She married Onesy Keosybounheuang on September 7, 2006, in Miami, Oklahoma. He survives.
Surviving family members include husband, Onesy Keosybounheuang of the home; sons, Daniel Keosybounheuang of Emporia, and Brandon Keosybounheuang of Manhattan; daughter, Anel Keosybounheuang of Emporia; granddaughter, Eevee Codney of Emporia; brothers, Sergio Alberto Escalante Cornejo, and Juan Ernesto Escalante Cornejo both of Saltillo, Mexico; sisters, Ana Marie Escalante Cornejo, Elvira Guadalupe Escalante Cornejo, and Angela Estela Escalante Cornejo all of Saltillo, Mexico.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Ana Maria Cornejo De Escalante.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm, Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia. Catholic mass and funeral services will be held in Saltillo, Mexico at a later date.
