Kasidy Rae “Kasi” Hart, 16, Americus, Kansas, died Wednesday, September 8, 2010, as a result of injuries received in an auto accident north of Americus, Kansas.
Kasi was born at Emporia, Kansas on March 18, 1994, the daughter of Steven G. Hart and Amie L. Germann Hart.
Surviving family members include: her parents, Amie Hart, Americus, Kansas and Steven Hart, Emporia, Kansas. Brother, Matthew “Matt” Hart, Americus, Kansas; Grandparents, Phillip and Linda Germann, Emporia, Kansas; Richard Hart, Emporia, Kansas, and Hazel Hart, Wichita, Kansas.
Kasi was a junior at Northern Heights High School, Allen, Kansas. She had been a Cheerleader in 7th and 8th Grade at the Americus School. Kasi played Clarinet five years, also at Americus, and played both soccer and baseball in Americus for four years. She enjoyed drawing, and had won awards for some of her artwork.
Funeral services will be held at the First United Methodist Church, Emporia, on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. The service will be conducted by Pastor Gina Gile, Americus United Methodist Church, Americus, Kansas, and Pastor Nancy Gammil, First United Methodist Church. Interment will be in the Cottonwood Cemetery, west of Emporia, Kansas.
The family will receive friends at the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia, Tuesday evening from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM
