Kenneth Marshall Parker

Kenneth M. Parker, 81, Emporia, Kansas, died Friday, June 22, 2018 at the Holiday Resort, Emporia.

Kenneth Marshall Parker was born May 4, 1937, the son of Earl and Louise (Schemonak) Parker.

He is survived by a  Son;  Randall  Parker (Sue), Cedarburg, WI, Daughters; Vicki (Parker) Housholder ( Eldon Gardner), Emporia, and Deborah (Parker) Callahan (Roger) , Olathe, KS, Brother;  Steven Parker, (Beverly) Wichita, KS, Grandchildren; Amy Housholder, Janelle (Housholder) Moran, Haley Housholder, Dawn (Callahan) Wahl, Ben Callahan, Ryan Callahan, Daniel Callahan, Josh Buser, Jessica (Buser) Ewig, and Alexandria Parker, seven Great-grandchildren, and his former wife, Jene (Brogan) Ayers Burenheide, Olpe, Kansas

His parents, a brother, Leonard, and sister, Helen, died earlier.

He was retired as a Machine Operator for Dolly Madison Bakeries in Emporia after 23 years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and had been an active sponsor for the local AA group for the last 43 years.

Cremation is planned. A memorial service will be held at the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home on Friday, July 6 at 10:00 A.M.   The service will be conducted by Pastor Brenda Ulrich, Grace United Methodist Church, Emporia.  Private family inurnment services will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Neosho Rapids, KS.

A memorial has been established with the VFW Christmas Care Packages fund with contributions sent in care of the funeral home, PO Box #175, Emporia, KS 66801.
