Kent E. Williamson, 82, Emporia, Kansas formerly of Casper, Wyoming, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2020, at the Emergency Department of Newman Regional Health, Emporia.

Kent Eugene Williamson was born in Stafford, Kansas on December 30, 1937, the son of Marion and Colleen (Peake) Williamson.  He married Jana Welch at Saint John, Kansas on June 8, 1958. She survives in Emporia.

Mr. Williamson is also survived by his daughters; Keva Scheib (Robert) Emporia, KS, Kim Romero (Tim) Lochbuie, CO, Kala Sprecher (Vance), Casper, WY, his son;  Robb Williamson (Karen), Lander, Wyoming,  brother; Keith Williamson (Bonnie), Holiday Island, AR, 19 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter.

He worked as an Area Manager for Texaco Oil Company for 24 years. He served in the United States Army during 1956-1958. He was a Mason and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

It was Mr. Williamson’s wish to be cremated.  Graveside services will be held at the Fairview Park Cemetery, Saint John, Kansas on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at 11:00 A.M.

A memorial to the First United Methodist Church of Emporia’s Food Pantry has been established with contributions sent in care of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, PO Box #175, Emporia, Kansas 66801., which is assisting with arrangements.
