Kimberly Jo Olson – Schneider, 39, Americus, Kansas died as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident northwest of Emporia on Thursday, October 7, 2010.
Kimberly Jo Olson was born in Council Grove, Kansas on December 31, 1970, the daughter of Kenneth and Kathi (Otto) Olson. She married Glenn Schneider and they later divorced.
Surviving family members include her son, Dylan Olson, Manhattan, Kansas; Daughter, Marah Schneider, of the home; Parents, Kenneth Olson, Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Kathi Olson, Americus, Kansas; Sister, Missi (Olson) Stone, Manhattan, Kansas; four Nieces, Katy, Paxton, Addysen, and Gracie Stone, Manhattan, Kansas; and a Brother-in-Law, Jonathan Stone, Houston, Texas. She is also lovingly remembered by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Kimberly was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents, Gordon and Dorothy Olson, and Al and Geraldine Otto; an Aunt, Charlotte Snow; and a Cousin, Ryan Fisher.
Kimberly was a homemaker, and was a confirmed member of Faith Lutheran Church, Emporia. She graduated from Northern Heights High School in 1988. She later then worked at the Fanestil Meat Co. for over 15 years. She enjoyed participating in the annual Relay for Life event in Emporia, but her favorite activity was spending time with her children and family.
Funeral services will be at the Faith Lutheran Church, Emporia, on Tuesday at 2:00 P.M. The service will be conducted by Pastor Mark Eichler of the Faith Lutheran Church, Emporia. Interment will follow in the Americus Cemetery, Americus, Kansas.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Faith Lutheran Church.
