Larry Wayne Adams

Larry Wayne Adams, age 61, died on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at his home in Emporia, Kansas.

Larry was born on November 22, 1959 in Fredonia, Kansas to Albert Wayne and Esther Mae Adams (Jackson).  He graduated from Fredonia High School in 1977 and pursued a life-long career in auto-body work, where he showcased his talent for intricate details. He later married Nancy E. Herdina on September 14, 2013 in Emporia, Kansas.

Besides spending time with his family, you could find Larry outside tending to his flowers, fishing for hours, or surrounded by black lights while playing his drums. He enjoyed all types of music and was an avid collector of anything he could get his hands on – specifically Chuck Taylors, knives and watches.

Surviving family members include: wife, Nancy E. Adams of Emporia, Kansas; son, Grant Adams, Kansas; daughters, Lauren Greve (Chris) of Spring Hill, Kansas, and Aubrey Adams of Ponca City, Oklahoma; stepsons, Justin Oliver (Maria) of Mooresville, Indiana, William Walters of Emporia, Kansas, and Benjamin Oliver; grandchildren, Sutton Wehlage and Whitley Greve; step-grandchildren, Caden Oliver, Dyllan Oliver, and Brendin Oliver; sister, Jacqualyn Black of Kansas City, Missouri.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation is planned with a private service at a later date.  Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
