Laura A. Redeker, 89 a longtime resident of Olpe, Kansas died on August 8, 2010 at the Emporia Presbyterian Manor in Emporia.
  
  
  Laura was born on July 9, 1921 in Olpe, Kansas the daughter of George and Frances Weber Dieker. She married John F. Redeker on July 16, 1940 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olpe, Kansas. He died on April 20, 1987 in Olpe, Kansas.
  
  
  Surviving family members include:
  
  
  Sons: Donald Redeker of Manhattan; Larry Redeker, Kenneth Redeker, Michael Redeker, and Robert Redeker all of Olpe.
  
  
  Daughters: Marjorie Schmidt, Marie Haag both of Olpe; and Laurie Jean Hollembeak of Emporia.
  
  
  Twenty Grandchildren and Twenty Five Great-Grandchildren.
  
  
  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother Elmer Dieker, and a sister Elsie Lawrence.
  
  
  Laura was a homemaker, a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olpe, the St. Anne’s Altar Society, The Quilting Corner, and the Happy Homemakers Club.
  
  
  The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olpe with Father Rich Warsnak conducting the service. The rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at the church. Burial will be at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Olpe.
  
  
  In Lieu of flowers the family has established a memorial fund to the St. Joseph Catholic School in care of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia.
