Lazaro Antonio Garcia, Emporia, died January 2, 2011 near Preston in Pratt County, Kansas as a result of injuries received in a one vehicle accident. He was 43.
Lazaro was born in El Salvador on February 11, 1967.
Surviving family members include: wife, Irma Mejia; son, Yovani Martinez, of the home; and daughters, Sandy Garcia, Alice Garcia, and Karla Garcia, all of the home; his mother, Alicia Garcia, El Salvador; and a granddaughter, Melanie Adams.
Mr. Garcia was a mechanic.
A service at the Patio Garden, Memorial Lawn Cemetery will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. conducted by Mr. Hector Sanchez, Chaplain, Mission La Esperanza. Interment will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Following the service at the cemetery, a memorial service will be held at the Grace United Methodist Church, South Avenue at Neosho Street, Emporia
The family will receive friends at the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home Friday evening, January 7, 2011 from 7:00 until 8:30.
