Lee Charles Muller of Americus, died on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at his home.  He was 74.

Lee was born on March 1, 1950, in Emporia, Kansas, the son of LeRoy and Cora Nelle Shapard Muller.

He is survived by his sons, Tyson (Alicia) Muller of Ansley, Nebraska, and Layn (Breanna) Muller of Sioux City, Iowa; daughters, Dana (David) Pieper of Zurich, Kansas and Cortny Muller of Lamar, Colorado; grandchildren, Rowen, Michael, Amelia, Conor, Dylan May, Aiden, TJ, Cady and Cody; Cousin Rhenda Crippen and her family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and an Aunt Barbara Forrester.

Lee was a solo musician (singer/guitarist) who performed a variety of different styles of music, i.e. country, bluegrass, americana, original material, and many other genres including nostalgia. He has performed with many top-named performers across the Midwest. Lee started performing in the Little Theater playing before audiences for Sunday evening live radio programs on KUNM FM Radio at the University of New Mexico while attending college in Albuquerque in 1969. In his career he opened for performances by Williams & Ree (The Indian & the White Guy), John Hartford, John Prine, Townes Van Zandt and John McKuen. He accompanied performers such as Bobby Bare, Rex Allen, Jr., Roy Clark, and Buck Trent. When performing with bands, and opened for John Anderson, Ricky Skaggs, The Girls Next Door, Bonnie Nelson, The Shotgun Red Band, Exile, The Association, and the Bellamy Brothers, just to name a few. He enjoyed long tenures with regionally successful bands such as Kansas City Southern, Detour, US 54, and Flyin' Blynd. Lee was dedicated to presenting audiences with a highly professional level of entertainment and sound.  Although I have hung my hat several places across the US, I still call the Flint Hills of Kansas my home.  In the Lyon County area, he was known to play at the Farmers Market, Holiday Resort for the residents, and Waters True Value.
