Leonard Roy Chamberlain, 78, of Olpe, Kansas, died Friday, May 3, 2013 at Newman Regional Health in Emporia, Kansas.
Leonard Roy Chamberlain was born March 8, 1935 in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Roy and Blanche (Melton) Chamberlain. Leonard married Susan Jane Dannecker in Topeka, Kansas on October 23, 1981. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include: daughters, Lynette Oglesby of Chandler, Arizona, and Amy Kane of Brownsburg, Indiana; stepson, Greg Jordan of Emporia; stepdaughters, Gwen Kitson of Williamsburg, Virginia, and Jamie Jasnoski of Lebo, Kansas; sixteen grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, John Chamberlain; and brothers, Bob Chamberlain and John Chamberlain.
Leonard graduated from Emporia High School in 1953 and worked as a technician for Wheat State Telephone for 25 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olpe, Knights of Columbus, and the Olpe Lions Club.
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday May 9, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olpe. Father John Cordes will be the Celebrant. Inurnment will be in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Rulo, Nebraska.
