Leonard Gordon Greenup

November 23, 1930 — April 26, 2016

Leonard Gordon Greenup, 85, of Emporia died April 26, 2016 at the Holiday Resort Care Center in Emporia.

Gordon was born November 23, 1930 in Gridley, Kansas, the son of Leonard E. and Margaret Rose (Heusner) Greenup. He worked as a laborer for K.P. & L. and for Blacktop Construction. Gordon enjoyed hunting and fishing and spent most of his time doing these activities.

Gordon is survived by four great-nephews and several great-great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Cecil Ruth Maussat.

Graveside services will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, April 30, 2016 at the Greenwood Cemetery south of Emporia. Pastor Brad Bowen of the Calvary Chapel Fellowship in Emporia will be officiating. Military Honors by Ball-McColm Post #5, American Legion and Lowry-Funston Post #1980, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
