Linda Marie Foots

Linda Marie Foots, 72, Emporia, Kansas, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026.

Linda Marie Harrell was born in Chicago, Illinois, on December 14, 1953, the daughter of Freddie and Fannie (Davis) Harrell. She and Troy Foots were united in marriage in Las Vegas, Nevada, on June 6, 2004. They were together for a total of 42 years, and Troy was the love of her life. He survives of the home. Also surviving is son; Jeremiah Foots, St. Louis, Missouri, her mother; Fannie Harrell, Emporia, Kansas, brothers; Freddie Harrell, Jr. (Kim) Emporia, Kansas, Alvin Harrell, Topeka, Kansas, and Kevin Harrell (Carol), Lawrence, Kansas, sisters; Roxanne Jackson, Emporia, Kansas, Grace Harrell, Los Angeles, California, Tammy Morrow (Leon), Emporia, Kansas, Trina Scales, LaShawn Harrell, both in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Yvonne Gray, Memphis, Arkansas, Grandchildren; Nolan Foots and Nate Greif, and many nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by her father, Freddie Harrell, Sr. her precious daughter; Rikki Marie Jemison, and sister; Dolly Warr.

Linda was an active member of the St. James Missionary Baptist Church, Emporia, and she was the President of the Missions Ministry.

Linda was an avid reader and a life-long learner and recently earned an Associate of Arts in Christian Education. Throughout her life she served as a retail manager and supervisor at various locations, including The Christmas Store in Los Angeles and Howard Johnson’s on the Kansas Turnpike. She was also a programmer for casino computer throughout the United States.

Linda was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, wife, and friend. She hosted many family holidays throughout the years and took care of many people in need.

Cremation is planned. A Celebration of Linda’s Life will be on April 4, 2026, at 11:00 am at St. James Baptist Church in Emporia, Kansas.
