Linda Faye Scarberry, 59, of Emporia, Kansas, died on February 8, 2012 at her home.


Linda was born on December 8, 1952 in Salina, Kansas, the daughter of Wayne and Faye Parks Annis. She married Daniel C. Scarberry on September 22, 1973 in Emporia. He survives at the home.

Other survivors include: daughters, Denise Harvey of Emporia, and Nicole McKee of Americus, Kansas; grandchildren, Tennille Scarberry, Trinity Harvey, Nichole Harvey, Ellissa Harvey, Clay Harvey, Tyria Harvey, Jordan Kiser, and Rylea Harris all of Emporia, and Josiah McKee of Americus; brothers, Danny Annis of Meza, Arizona, Chuck Brown of Grant, Nebraska, and Larry Brown of Emporia and sisters, Carla Engler of Burdick, Kansas, and Helen Hill of Mesa, Arizona.


She was preceded in death by her parents.


Linda worked as a nurse’s aid in Marion and Emporia for several years. She also was a taxi dispatcher for Redi Cab in Emporia for two years. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Emporia.


A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 17, 2012 at Bethel Baptist Church in Emporia. The service will be conducted by Pastor Joe Tuttle of the church. Burial will be at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Olpe, Kansas. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia.
