Linda May Trayford

Linda May Trayford, 61, Emporia, Kansas, passed away Friday, November 4, 2011 at Newman Regional Health, Emporia.



Linda May Hamill was born at Longview, Washington on January 1, 1950, the daughter of Rex and Zella (Cummings) Hamill. She married Larry Trayford at Emporia, Kansas on October 20, 1984. He survives of the home.



Mrs. Trayford is survived by her husband; three brothers, Francis Hamill, Emporia, Larry Hamill, Lawton, Oklahoma, Richard Hamill, Largo, Florida; and a sister, Pat Pickens, Branson, Missouri.



Her parents died earlier.



For 26 years, Mrs. Trayford worked at Didde Graphics in Emporia until the company closed. She then devoted four years to the Fellowship Meals program until she retired due to ill health.



She was a member of the Sunrise Baptist Church in Emporia. Mrs. Trayford received her Bachelor Degree in Education from Emporia State University.



Funeral services will be Wednesday evening, November 9, 2011 at 7:00 PM at Sunrise Freewill Baptist Church, conducted by Pastor Alan Barus. Cremation will occur later.



Friends may call on the family at the church Wednesday from 5:30 PM until service time.
