Linnie M. Freeman, Emporia, Kansas, died at her home in Emporia on Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at the age of 95.


Linnie Mable Palmer was born at Northcott, Anderson County, Kansas, on May 23, 1917. She was the daughter of Franklin Grant and Addie Mae (Ames) Palmer. She married Harold Francis Freeman at Burlington, Kansas, on August 9, 1933. He died December 18, 1995, after 62 years of marriage.


Surviving members of the family include her three daughters, Shirley Boudreau, Topeka, Kansas, Mable Brier, Springfield, Missouri, and Barbara Pees, Emporia; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren.


Mrs. Freeman was preceded in death by brothers, Absalom and Chauncey Palmer, and a sister, Rosy McCullough.


She was a homemaker, and had been a member of the Christian Church of LeRoy, Kansas.


Funeral services will he held at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia, at 10:00 A.M. Friday, June 15, 2012. The service will be conducted by Rev. Lee Hoskins. Interment will be in Cottonwood Cemetery, west of Emporia.
