Lisa Marie James, 51, of Emporia, Kansas, died on May 17, 2012 at her mother’s home in Emporia.
Lisa was born on August 12, 1960 in Emporia, the daughter of Robert Eugene and Marguerite Emily Price James. She was divorced.
She is survived by: her parents, Robert Eugene James and Marguerite Emily James of Emporia; daughter, Christina Rarick of Emporia; grandchildren, Emily Harr and Jeffrey Rarick, both of Emporia; brothers, David James of Wichita, Kansas, and Phillip James of San Diego, California.
She is preceded in death by two infant brothers, Robert and Ronald James; grandparents, Henry and Elsie Price, and Carl and Louise James.
Lisa was a Certified Nursing Assistant at Holiday Resort Care Center in Emporia, and also worked in the kitchen at Emporia Senior Center. She was baptized at Grace United Methodist Church in Emporia.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia. The service will be conducted by Pastor Alan Barus, Jr. of the Sunrise Free Will Baptist Church, Emporia. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, south of Emporia.
The visitation will be from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday evening, May 21, 2012 at the funeral home. Casual dress is requested by the family.
