Lloyd W. Christmore

Lloyd W. Christmore, 83, Emporia, Kansas, passed away at his home on Thursday, January 1, 2026.

Lloyd was born in Coffeyville, Kansas on August 17, 1942, the son of Gerald E. and Mildred (Lafferty) Christmore. Lloyd and Marilyn Schwindt were united in marriage in Emporia, Kansas on November 22, 1967. She survives of the home. Also surviving is his son; Darrin of Wichita, nephew; Mark Christmore, San Diego, California, niece; Kim Silvestri, Evergreen, Colorado, sisters-in-law; Margaret Glover, Dorothy DeWeese, and Linda Hansen, brothers-in-law; Robert & Jim Schwindt, and a number of cousins. He was preceded in death by brothers; Gerald, David, and an infant brother.

He was a graduate of Coffeyville (Kansas) Community College and Westmar College. He was an accountant for the Topeka Capitol-Journal and later, after merger completion, the Morris Communications Company.

He was a member of the Saffordville United methodist Church, Toledo, Kansas.

Services will be Monday, January 5, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church, Emporia, Kansas, followed by burial in the Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Emporia. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 4, from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia, Kansas.
