Lois Nadine Hanson

Lois Nadine Hanson, 87, of Emporia, Kansas, and formerly of Hamilton, Kansas, died on Monday, March 16, 2015 at Newman Regional Health, Emporia.

Lois was born on April 20, 1927 in Madison, Kansas, the daughter of Burl Victor and Margaret Clarice Leamon Milner. She married William R. Hanson on August 30, 1945 in Emporia. He survives.

Other survivors include: son, William “Bill” R. Hanson and wife Margaret of Emporia; daughter, Karen Yeager of Emporia; sister, Dorothy Ruth Ward of West Helena, Arkansas; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and four great-great-granddaughters.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Gale Milner, Leo Milner; and sisters, JoAnn Bates, and Pauline Milner.

Lois was a homemaker.

A graveside service will be at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Janesville Cemetery, Hamilton, Kansas. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia. Memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society may be sent in care of the funeral home.
