Lois E. Keating, 96, Emporia, Kansas, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Stormont-Vail Medical Center, Topeka, Kansas.
Lois McNulty was born in Waverly, Kansas, on May 23, 1918, the daughter of William C. and Grace (Hull) McNulty. She married Frank Keating in Cottonwood Falls, Kansas on March 1, 1940. He died in 1985.
Surviving family members include her daughters, Nedra Lynch, Williamsburg, Kansas, and Peggy J. Keating-Bolm, Crete, Illinois; son, John Keating, Olathe, Kansas; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, and a brother, Gerald McNulty.
Mrs. Keating was employed at the American Legion, and was a member of First United Methodist Church, Emporia.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, October 20, 2014 at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia. The service will be conducted by Pastor Susan Daniel-Brey of Grace United Methodist Church, Emporia. Interment will be in Rock Creek Cemetery, north of Waverly.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.
