Loretta Schneider

Loretta Schneider, Emporia, Kansas, died November 28, 2024 at the Presbyterian Manor. She was 86 years old.

Loretta was born on December 21, 1937, in Stafford, Kansas, the daughter of Clifford and Adaline (Rush) Beagley. She married Vincent Schneider at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Emporia, Kansas on May 4, 1957. He died on August 2, 2020.

She is survived by sons Daniel (Janet) Schneider, Olpe, Kansas; Darrell (Sherry) Schneider, Olpe, Kansas; daughters Dianna (Steve) Zimmerman, Hutchinson, Kansas; Darlene Martin and significant other Mike Goodeyon, Madison, Kansas; Debra (Dale) Burenheide, Olpe, Kansas; Donna (Rick) Riessen, Joliet, Illinois; brothers Roy Beagley, Geneseo, Kansas; Larry Beagley, Ellsworth, Kansas; James (Charlotte) Beagley, Tennessee; sister Louise Johnson, Hutchison, Kansas; grandchildren Stephanie Turley, Kevin Heckathorn, Tara Dorsey, Triston Burenheide, Austin Burenheide, Dallas Burenheide, Nathan Riessen, Ryan Riessen, Justin Day, Aaron Martin, Chad Martin, Ben Schneider, Catie Schneider, Ethan Schneider, Brent Schneider, Samantha Schneider; great-grandchildren Jace Hays, Dakota Wilson, Kaiden Heckathorn, Liv Heckathorn, Neomi, Anabelle & Karina Calderon, Marley Martin, Paige & Skylar Martin, Riley, Sidney, Molly & Bryson Day, Braylie & Isaiah Burenheide, Zackery, Kodan, Remmington & Maizy Burenheide, Austyn Burenheide, Charlotte & Evelyn Riessen, Rowan & Leyland Riessen, Henley & Rhaego Tovar, James & Sullivan Schneider, Jensen Schneider; and two great-great-grandchildren, Everleigh Lopez and Abbygail Hays.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Lois Beagley, husband Vincent Schneider, and grandson Brent Schneider.

Loretta was a nurse for over 20 years at St. Mary’s Hospital in Emporia. After that, she worked as a bus driver and a daycare provider.

Cremation is planned. The Rosary will be recited Friday, December 6, 2024, at 7:00 P.M. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 306 Iowa Street, Olpe, Kansas, 66865. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph’s, Olpe. Inurnment will take place following the service at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, 1145 Road 75, Olpe, Kansas.
