Lorraine “Lori” Anderson, 60, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 23. 2017 at the Holiday Resort Care Center.
Lori was born in Independence, MO on March 6, 1957 to Donald and Carol McClain Jacobs.
In 1972, Lori, her older brother Marc, younger brother Rick and their mother moved to Kansas.
In 1986 Lori was blessed with her only child, Denisha.
In 2009, Lori became known as “MiMi” to her first grandchild, Denver. Followed in 2014 by her second grandchild, Clara. These three held her heart.
Lori took pride in her family and loved her many nieces and nephews. She was the favorite aunt, teaching them all to belch. She was a friend to everybody she met and knew no stranger.
Lori resided in Emporia from 1990 until she passed peacefully in her sleep from a short battle with cancer. She is flying with the angels.
Lori was preceded in death by her father, her step-father, and two uncles.
She is survived by her daughter, Denisha Seiter and grandchildren, Denver and Clara all of Emporia; her mother Carol Stone of Raytown, MO; two brothers, Marc Jacobs of Gridley and Rick Jacobs of Hartford; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will be having Lori’s memorial service 1:00 P.M. Monday, May 1, 2017 at the Church of Christ, 502 W. 12th, Emporia. Pastor Neil Taylor will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations to “Mimi’s Babies Educational Trust” may be sent in care of Roberts-Blue-Barnett.
