Louis Joseph Marin, Jr. Emporia, and formerly of Chicago, Illinois, died Monday morning, November 22, 2010 at Holiday Resort, Emporia, Kansas. He was 78.
Louis Joseph Marin, Jr. was born at Osage City, Kansas on May 25, 1931 the son of Louis Joseph (Sr.) and Elizabeth (Rifenbark) Marin. He married Carol Zimmerman, they later divorced.
Surviving family members include: Daughter, Melissa Hunter, Chicago, Illinois; Brothers, Charles Marin, Emporia, Kansas, and Robert Marin, Wichita, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Marin was a methods and procedures advisor for the Illinois State Employment Service in Chicago for 30 years, retiring in 1994.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a Petty Officer Second Class.
