Luke Houghton, 45, Overland Park, Kansas, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City, Missouri.
Luke Timothy Houghton was born in Emporia, the son of Jerome and Leslie (Cropp) Houghton.
Luke is survived by his parents of Burlingame, Kansas; his sister, Julie Moreland and her husband, Aaron, and their children, Gabriel and Grayson Moreland, Winfield, Kansas; and grandmother, Ruth Houghton, Osage City, Kansas, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded by his maternal grandparents, Daniel and Margie Cropp, and paternal grandfather, Jack Houghton.
Luke was Field Operations Manager for Turner Ceramic Tile in Kansas City, Kansas.
A graveside service will be held at the Patio Garden of Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Emporia, on Friday, January 8, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. The service will be conducted by Pastor Norbert Tegtmeier, Messiah Lutheran Church, Emporia.
The family will receive friends at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home Friday morning from 9:30 A.M. until 10:30 A.M.
