Lydia M. Rundle, 79, Wichita, Kansas, passed away at her home on Sunday, February 8, 2026.
Lydia Marie Magathan was born in Emporia, Kansas on July 7, 1946, the daughter of Charles N. and Jane Marie (Rich) Magathan. She married Jim Robison, who passed away earlier and later married Ray Rundle, who also precedes her in death. She is survived by sons; James Robison (Lori) and Donald Robison (Sonya Bozone) Both of Wichita, Kansas, brothers; Charles L. Magathan, Howard Magathan, and Marvin Magathan, all of Emporia, Kansas, grandchildren; Tanille, Braxton, and Brock Bressler, as well as several nieces and nephews and their children. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, son; Reid Bressler, and sister; Brenda Janell Arndt.
Lydia’s career was a testament to her strong work ethic and passion for teaching. She was a teacher with USD 259 in Wichita for over 27 years, showcasing her dedication to hard work and success. Known for her caring and loving nature, she held the remarkable ability to always put others first. Throughout her life, Lydia prioritized her family above all else and found her greatest joy in those she loved. She was a faithful member and devoted treasurer of South Riverside Baptist Church of Wichita, an Auxiliary member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and an avid traveler, dog lover, and crafter.
Graveside services will be held at the Patio Garden of Memorial Lawn Cemetery on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. The family will receive friends at the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia, Kansas Friday, February 20, 2026 from 7:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
A memorial has been established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of the funeral home, PO Box #175, Emporia, Kansas 66801.
