Manford Fredrick Langley

Manford Fredrick Langley, 87 of Emporia, Kansas died Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka, Kansas.

Manford was born January 25, 1929 in Castleberry, Alabama the son of Frank Lee and Fannie May (Barrow) Langley. He was a Special Projects Supervisor at Iowa Beef Processors in Emporia for over 22 years. Manford was a member of the Castleberry Baptist Church in Castleberry, Alabama and served in the Marine Corp 1st Division during the Korean Conflict.

Manford married Katie Jeanell Booker on April 25, 1952 in Brewton, Alabama. She survives him. Other survivors include sons Mike Langley and wife Marsha of Emporia, Kansas; Mark Langley and wife Gale of Topeka, Kansas; Stevie Langley and wife Ramona of Wichita; Kansas, daughter Cindy Fryer of St. Louis, Missouri; brother Maynard Langley of Wisconsin; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Horace Langley and Maurice Langley.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, July 18, 2016 at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home in Emporia. His son Pastor Mark Langley of the Sovereign Grace Baptist Church in Topeka, Kansas will be officiating. Interment will be in the Cottonwood Cemetery in Emporia. Military Honors by United States Marine Corps Funeral Detail, Ball-McColm Post #5, American Legion and Lowry-Funston Post #1980, Veterans of Foreign Wars. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Saturday, July 16, 2016 at the funeral home.
