Manuel DeLaGarza, Sr., 82, Emporia, Kansas, died Friday, February 17, 2012 at Holiday Resort, Emporia.
He was born October 11, 1929 in Corpus Christi, Texas, the son of Juan and Julia DeLaGarza. He is survived by his wife, Alicia, whom he married at Harlingen, Texas on October 15, 1949.
Mr. DeLaGarza is also survived by a daughter; three sons; twelve grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. A grandson died earlier.
Mr. DeLaGarza was foundry worker for 21 years, before he retired in the summer of 1974.
He was a member and Elder of the Spanish Congregation of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Cremation is planned.
