Marcia A. Koch, 84, Emporia, Kansas, died Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Holiday Resort Care Center, Emporia.
  
  
  
  Marcia was born in Elmdale, Kansas on June 9, 1929, the daughter of Albert and Fern (Wright) Koch.
  
  
  
  She is survived by: her brother James and wife, Sandra Koch, Emporia, nephews, Dr. Michael Koch, Harrisonville, Missouri and Jason Koch, Emporia; nieces, Kristi Campbell, Fayetteville, Arkansas, Jamie Gottlob, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Melissa Merriam, Overland Park, Kansas, and Dr. Betsy Koch, Garden City, Kansas; and great-nephews and nieces, Hunter Koch, Zachary Koch, Austin Campbell, Davis Campbell, Caroline Campbell, Chase Gottlob, Emily Gottlob, Luke Merriam, Samuel Merriam, and Taylen Koch.
  
  
  
  She was an Executive Secretary for TWA in New York City, and Kansas City, Missouri. After moving to Emporia in 2003, she worked for the Emporia Public Library, including helping with genealogy. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Emporia. Miss Koch received her Bachelor’s Degree in Teaching from Emporia State University.
  
  
  
  Cremation is planned. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
