Margaret B. Brown, 93, Emporia, Kansas, died Saturday, August 28, 2010 at Newman Regional Health, Emporia, Kansas.
Margaret B. Simpson was born at Clifton, Kansas on November 14, 1916, the daughter of Ezra and Try-Phena (Wagner) Simpson. She married Loren W. Brown at Manhattan, Kansas on October 2, 1935. He died May 4, 1987.
Surviving family members include a daughter, Kay Brown of Selma, California; Sister, Ruth Weidmer of Emporia, Kansas; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Saundra Dean; two brothers, Walter and Cliford Simpson; and a sister, Edna McKee.
Mrs. Brown was a member of First Christian Church, Manhattan, Kansas. From 1946 to 1971 she worked for Sears Roebuck & Co. in Oakland, California, and retired as head of the draperies department.
Cremation is planned. Services will be held at a later date.
A memorial has been established with the Flint Hills Care Center Activity Fund, gifts may be sent in care of the funeral home, P O Box 175, Emporia, Kansas 66801
