Margaret Eileen Greer

Margaret Eileen Greer of Emporia died, Sunday, February 17, 2019 at the Emporia Presbyterian Manor.  She was 85.

Margaret was born on July 8, 1933 in Reading, Kansas the daughter of William and Mary Geraghty.  She married Charles Bollinger in 1952 and divorced in 1963.  She later married Jack Greer on May 4, 1996 in Emporia.  Jack survives her and is living in Overland Park.  Jack and Margaret were a very special couple to all who knew them. Although they married late in life, they had a fairytale romance and love that many of us can only hope to have in our lifetime.

She is survived by her daughters, Candice Eileen Cavalier, Seattle, Washington, Karen Sue Orejuela, Ocean Isle Beach, NC, and  Amy Evans, The Woodlands, TX; Daughter-in-law, Kimber Bollinger, Conroe, TX; Grandchildren, Eric Blow, Herndon, VA, Cameron Cavalier, Seattle, WA, Karen Bradshaw, Seattle, WA, Carly Cavalier, Seattle, WA, Amanda Thompson, The Woodlands, TX, Truck Bollinger, Conroe, TX, Heather Everett, Palmetto, GA and Rock Bollinger, Conroe, TX; Great Grandchildren: Caleb, Jackson and Tristan Blow, of Herndon, VA. Cole and Charlie Bradshaw of Seattle, WA, Draven, Mason, Mahayla, Mercedes Bollinger of Conroe, TX, Jak and Emma Everett of Palmetto, GA, Liam Bollinger of Conroe, TX, Mathew Nash, Richardson, TX; sister, Kathryn Mounkes, Phoenix, AZ.

She is predeceased by her son, Charles Bollinger Jr who died on July 6, 2010. Also, her siblings Helen Marie Newton, Wayne Geraghty, James Geraghty, Patrick Geraghty.

Margaret was a Banker at Emporia State Bank for 29 years.   She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she was a very generous volunteer and Newman Regional Health.

Cremation is planned with a Mass of Christian Burial will be held in May at Sacred Heart Church in Emporia Kansas.  Memorial contributions to the Emporia Public Library can be sent in care of the funeral home.
