Margaret Elizabeth Hale, 68, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, died Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas.

Margaret was born on July 1, 1946 in Larned, Kansas, the daughter of William Charles and Margaret Elsie Walton O’Rorke. She married Gene Hale in August 1973 in Hutchinson, Kansas. He survives.

Margaret is survived by: her son, Michael Hale of Omaha, Nebraska; daughters, Audrey Younkin of Lincoln, Nebraska, Christina McCale of Olympia, Washington, and Shauna Tinich of Maize, Kansas; brother, William O’Rorke, Jr. of Texas; and eight grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Mary Means and Patricia Patterson.

Margaret was an accountant for the Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs, Iowa before retiring in 2002.

The graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, September 29, 2014 at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Olpe, Kansas. The family requests no flowers, but instead suggests memorial contributions to the Iowa Western Community College Student Emergency Fund, to be sent in care of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia.
