Margaret Ann Vogts

Margaret Ann Vogts of Olpe, Kansas died on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at her home in Olpe.  She was 83.

Margaret was born on September 26, 1940, in Sedgwick, Kansas, the daughter of Glen Parker Wilson and Winifred Walker Wilson.  She married Ray Lee Vogts on December 18, 1961, at the Cottonwood Falls Courthouse in Cottonwood Falls, Kansas.

Surviving family members include sons, Todd Vogts and Shawn Vogts of Olpe; daughters, Anna (Dave) Kidwell of Louisville, Kentucky, LaDonna Vogts of Emporia, Gail (Ralph) Johnson of Olpe, and Tasha (Garland) Domingue of Pensacola, Florida; brothers, Edward Wilson of Topeka, and Sam Wilson of Emporia; sisters, Mary Zinn of Topeka, Alice Bliss and Jo (Tony) Ruiz both of Emporia; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Roy Vogts, granddaughter Ashley Kidwell, sister and a brother.

Margaret was a homemaker.  She worked at Hopkins Manufacturing in Emporia as well as at the Olpe Food Bank.  Margaret was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Emporia.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Chapel with burial following at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery south of Olpe.
