Marian Edith Theye, 97, died Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Eureka Nursing Center in Eureka, Kansas.
Marian was born November 3, 1916 in Chula, Missouri, the daughter of Lewis and Nettie (Graham) Tompkins. She worked as the office manager for Spic-N-Span Cleaners in Emporia, Kansas for 35 years. She was a member of First Christian Church, Emporia.
Marian married George Theye in Cottonwood Falls, Kansas in 1959. He died in 1982 in Emporia. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; sisters, Fern Hodgkins, Anna Lee McElfresh, Evelyn Tompkins; and brothers, Lewis Tompkins, Donald Tompkins, George Tompkins, Roy Tompkins and Vernon Tompkins.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Americus Cemetery in Americus, Kansas. Pastor Bob Colerick of First Christian Church in Emporia will be officiating.
