Marie Isabel Keller, 92, of Reading, Kansas, died on September 9, 2011 at Emporia Presbyterian Manor in Emporia.
Marie was born on June 11, 1919 in Emporia, Kansas, the daughter of Lewis Ernest and Edith Gertrude Jones VanSickle. She married Charles Mingle Keller on October 13, 1937 in Reading, Kansas. He died on September 14, 1970 in Emporia.
Surviving family members include: sons, Marvin Keller and wife Sharon of Osage City, Kansas, and Melvin Keller of Meriden, Kansas; daughter-in-law, Selma Keller of Elmdale, Kansas; brother, Coburn VanSickle of Emporia; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and three
great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Warren VanSickle; sons, Charles Gailord Keller, and Roger Wesley Keller.
Marie was a homemaker. She was a member of the Baptist Church in Reading,Kansas. She was also a member of the Lowry-Funston Post #1980 Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
Graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at 1:30 P.M. at Reading Cemetery in Reading, Kansas. The service will be conducted by Pastor Lori Schwilling of Rossville United Methodist Church in Rossville, Kansas. The visitation will be on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home.
