Marilyn K. Dieker-Hall, Emporia, Kansas, died Monday, September 13, 2010, at Stormont Vail Medical Center, Topeka, Kansas. She was 59.
Marilyn K. Dieker was born at Emporia, Kansas on August 28, 1951, the daughter of Donald H. and Cleta R. (Moon) Dieker. She married Terry Joe Hall at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Emporia, Kansas, on January 15, 1972. He survives of the home.
Other surviving family members include: Daughter, Jennifer Ratzlaff, and husband Shawn, Emporia, Kansas; Son, Henry H. Hall, and wife Melissa, Burlington, Kansas; and Brothers Kevin and Leonard Dieker, Emporia, Kansas. Also surviving are four grandchildren: Colby and Caylie Ratzlaff, Emporia; and Chrissy and Beau Hall, Burlington, Kansas.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her father, Donald Dieker.
Mrs. Hall was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Emporia, and was a member of Marriage Encounter and the church Altar Society
She was a customer service representative with Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services in Emporia for 13 years. She had been active in the 4-H program for a number of years with her children, and had never missed an activity of her grandchildren.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Emporia, on Friday, September 17, 2010, at 10:30 A.M. The Mass will be celebrated by Father Richard Warsnack of the church. Interment will be in the Union Cemetery, east of Emporia. The casket will remain closed.
The Rosary will be recited at the church Thursday evening at 7:00 P.M.
