Marilyn Irene Haag, 79, of Olpe, Kansas, died on February 14, 2013 at Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center in Topeka, Kansas.

Marilyn was born on December 27, 1933 in Emporia, the daughter of Clifford and Olive Hinck Spade. She married Howard J. Haag on March 23, 1954 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Emporia. He survives.

Other survivors include five sons, Carl F. Haag and wife Maggie, Manhattan, Kansas, Rodney J. Haag and wife Janet Quintana, Emporia, Christopher A. Haag and wife Linda, Hartford, Kansas, Matthew O. Haag and wife Eleonora, Waverly, Iowa, and Joseph A. Haag, Olpe; four daughters, Teresa Schuler and husband Kenny, Emporia, Mary Lopez and husband Richard, Olpe, Clare Spellman and husband Stephen, Hartford, Sarah Fager and husband Michael, Miller, Kansas; two brothers, Leroy Spade and wife Ann, Leland Spade and wife Linda, both of Admire; seventeen grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Marilyn was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joseph Altar Society, and Eagle Creek Extension Unit.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Olpe. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Olpe.

The Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M., Monday evening, February 18, 2013 at the church.
