Marian Wood of Emporia died on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at the Holiday Resort Care Center, Emporia. She was 70.
Marian was born on August 14, 1949 in Marion, Kansas the daughter of Earl and Dorothy Denner Lawrence. She married Michael Earl Wood on October 24, 1971 in Marion, Kansas. He died on August 17, 2019 in Emporia.
Surviving family members include: son, Jeff (Rebecca) Wood of Topeka; daughter, Alison (Cory) Cipra of Lenexa; grandchildren, Nick and Anna Cipra; sisters, Janet (Phil) Collins of Emporia, and Cheryl (Dan) Young of Lenexa.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband.
Marian operated Dalby-Wood Cares in Emporia for a few years prior to her death.
Cremation is planned with private services later to honor her and her late husband, Mike, together.
