Marjorie Ann Arndt, 84, of Emporia, Kansas, died Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at Emporia Presbyterian Manor.
Marjorie Ann Burden was born February 22, 1927 in Emporia, the daughter of Clifford and Primrose (Jones) Burden. Marjorie was a graduate of Emporia High School and worked as a bookkeeper at J.C. Penney’s, Westamerica Securities and Didde Graphics, all in Emporia.
Marjorie married Donald H. Arndt on December 7, 1948 in Emporia. He died August 23, 2000 in Emporia. She is survived by: sons, Don L. Arndt of Bangor, California and Kenneth Arndt of Emporia; daughters, Linda DeDonder of Emporia and Janet Arndt of Lawrence, Kansas; sister, Dorothy Andrews of Emporia; 11 Grandchildren; and 14 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Donald H. Arndt; her parents, Clifford and Primrose Burden; and a brother, William C. Burden.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home in Emporia. Inurnment will be in Evergreen Cemetery south of Emporia.
