Marjorie Lou Barrett, 88 of Emporia, Kansas died Friday, August 7, 2015 at the Emporia Presbyterian Manor.
Marjorie was born January 20, 1927 in Burlington, Kansas, the daughter of Orville and Velma (Truelove) Haehn. She worked as a bookkeeper for the REA until she got married and then later worked as a bookkeeper at the Flint Hills Feed Lot for 15 years until she retired. Marjorie was a member of the First Church of God in Emporia and enjoyed bowling.
Marjorie married Wilbur Barrett on March 16, 1947 in Emporia. He survives of the home. She is also survived by a daughter, Debra Barrett of Princeton, New Jersey.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Elmo Haehn.
Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at the Patio Garden in Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Emporia. Pastor Lee Hoskins of Emporia will be officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
