Marjorie M. Renfro, Emporia, passed away at the Holiday Resort Care Center, Emporia on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at the age of 88.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 14, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home. Rev. Rob Clausen, First Baptist Church will conduct the service. Burial will follow in the Key West Cemetery East of Lebo, Kansas.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M.
Marjorie Marie Lyman was born December 31, 1930 in Strawn, Kansas, the daughter of William and Pearl (Dixon) Lyman. Marjorie and Calvin C. Renfro were united in marriage July 24, 1951 at Cottonwood Falls, Kansas. He died May 3, 2000.
Surviving family members include her children; Calvin Renfro, Jr., Bill (Sherry) Renfro, Wayne (Carol) Renfro, and Velva (David) Valdez all of Emporia, Cheryl Ann Chalfant, Auburn, WA, Cindy (Bob) Kearns, Americus, KS, Margann Renfro, Osage City, KS, Eloise (Randy) Harris, Madison, KS, LeeRoy (Shelly) Renfro, Reading, KS, and Bob (Ethel) Renfro, Columbus, Indiana, Two Brothers; Larry Lyman, Americus, KS and David Lyman, Lebo, KS, Thirty-Two Grandchildren, Fifty-Nine Great Grandchildren and Nineteen Great-Great-Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, son, Terry, who died March 13, 2000, and 6 brothers.
Mrs. Renfro was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
