Marjorie Schroeder, 88, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2025, in Gilbert, Arizona. Born on May 29, 1937, in Kansas City, Missouri, she lived a life marked by curiosity, compassion, and a deep commitment to both her family and her passions. Marjorie was the daughter of Frank and Hilda May. She graduated from Bishop Hogan High School in Kansas City before pursuing a career in healthcare. Her dedication to helping others led her to nursing school and later to complete a nurse practitioner program—an achievement that reflected both her intellect and her desire to serve. Throughout her life, Marjorie embraced every opportunity to learn and grow. She was known for her adventurous spirit and love of exploration and hiking. Whether traveling across the globe or discovering new hobbies at home, she approached each experience with enthusiasm and an open heart. An avid painter, Marjorie found joy in expressing herself through art, capturing the beauty she saw in the world around her. Marjorie was preceded in death by her beloved husband Darrell and her parents. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Angela Ford (Chuck), her son Steve Schroeder (Debra), five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Her legacy lives on through the lives she touched—as a caregiver, an artist, explorer, hiker, a mother and grandmother—and through the memories cherished by those who knew and loved her. May her memory bring comfort to all who mourn her passing. Cremation has occurred. Private inurnment services will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Olpe, Kansas.
