Mary Guadalupe “Susie” Villar 64, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2014 at her home.

Mary G. Mendoza, the daughter of Frank and Mary Mejia Mendoza, was born September 26, 1950 in Emporia. She married Augustine David Villar on October 18, 1969 at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Emporia.

Lupe “Susie” worked as a bank teller for Emprise Bank in Wichita. She retired in 2009 and was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, David of the home; her mother, Mary Mendoza Edwards of Emporia; two brothers, Jim Edwards and Darwin Boisen of Sioux City, Iowa, John Edwards and Jamie Proffitt of Bend, Oregon; four sisters, Hope Watson and Lonnie Watson of Tucson, Arizona, Virginia Rodriguez of Arkansas City, Kansas, Yolanda Tull of Los Angeles, California, and Sylvia Gonzalez and Isidro Gonzalez of Emporia.

She left behind many nieces and nephews who loved her very much.

Lupe was preceded in death by her father, Frank Mendoza; two infant daughters, Stephanie Villar and Angelina Villar; and a brother, William Dean Edwards.

The Rosary will be recited at 5:00 P.M. Monday, December 08, 2014 in the funeral home. Tom Dolezal of Sacred Heart Catholic Church will officiate. A private family committal service will be held later.
