Maryjane Coffee

MaryJane Coffee of Emporia died on Monday, April 26, 2021 at her home.  She was 81.

MaryJane was born on February 8, 1940 in Emporia, Kansas the daughter of Rexford and Mary Alice Radig Vaughn.  She married Johnny Coffee on October 5, 1960 in Emporia, Kansas.  He died on February 7, 2005 in Emporia.

Surviving family members include: son, Johnny Ray Coffee, Jr. of Emporia; daughter, Barbara (Daniel) Evans of Emporia; son-in-law, James Blalock of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; grandchildren, Kellie (Nick) Holland of Kansas City, Missouri, Maryanna (Richard) Gardner of Emporia; Misty Branson of Texas, A.J. (Erin) Branson and Colton (Sierra) Blalock both of Yelm, Washington; twelve Great- Grandchildren and 1 Great- Great Grandson; sister, Shirley (Dick) Poff of Emporia; sister-in-law, Judy Vaughn of Emporia.

She is preceded in death by her husband, daughter Teresa Blalock, and brother Carl Vaughn and, her parents.

MaryJane was the head cook for Emporia Nursing Home for 10 years and, head cook at IBP for 20 years before she retired 21 years ago.

Cremation is planned with a private graveside service at Hillside Cemetery, Toledo at a later day.  Memorial contributions to the Emporia Sertoma Train can be sent in care of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, PO Box 175, Emporia, Kansas 66801.
